Amy
Winehouse
(born 14 September 1983 in Enfield, Middlesex, United Kingdom) is a
jazz singer.
Her debut
album, Frank, was launched in 2003 and entered the upper
levels of the UK album chart in 2004 when it was nominated for Brit
Awards in the categories of "British Female Solo Artist" and
"British Urban Act". Later in 2004 the album made the short list for
the Mercury Music Prize.
Future
Releases
The release
of the second album Back to Black is scheduled for release on
October 30, 2006, with a single release of "Rehab" on October 23,
2006. Demonstration tracks such as 'Wake Up Alone' and 'Rehab' have
appeared on Mark Ronson's
New York
radio show on East Village Radio. Amy Winehouse has also confirmed
three gigs at the beginning of September.
Personal
Amy has
reported to have dropped four dress sizes and a source has stated
she did that because of comments that were made about her size.
